A photographic expedition in search of the beauty of the land of fire, endless waterfalls, breathtaking cliffs, and volcanoes, where you’ll feel as if you’ve landed on another planet.
Together, we will travel around the entire island and capture the very best that Iceland has to offer. We’ll explore coastlines with fantastical rock formations, volcanic craters, lakes with pseudocraters, and above all, waterfalls—without which Iceland simply wouldn’t be Iceland. We’ll photograph iconic sites such as Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Dettifoss, Goðafoss, and Dynjandi, as well as many smaller, lesser-known yet truly awe-inspiring places that often lie beyond the main tourist routes.
This year, we have once again included a visit to the Westfjords, a region most tour operators skip—yet it is precisely here that Iceland reveals its raw, untamed beauty.
Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavík (Keflavík Airport)
After arrival, we will check in to our accommodation. If we arrive earlier, we will visit some of the beautiful locations on the Reykjanes Peninsula.
Day 2: Gullfoss
We will explore Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, including the historically significant Þingvellir National Park, the geothermal area of Geysir, and the golden waterfall Gullfoss, which in summer allows for walks around the falls up to its upper cascade.
Day 3: Skógafoss
We continue to the iconic and monumental waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, set in stunning Icelandic landscapes. Along the way, we’ll visit traditional Icelandic churches and photograph a glacial river.
Day 4: Reynisfjara
The black sand beaches of Kirkjufjara and Reynisfjara, with the dramatic Reynisdrangar sea stacks near the village of Vík, offer countless photographic opportunities and capture Iceland’s raw, untamed beauty.
Day 5: Vestrahorn
From Jökulsárlón and the Vatnajökull Glacier, we head to Stokksnes and the iconic Vestrahorn Mountain. This black, shallow beach with tufts of grass provides breathtaking views of the dramatic mountain ridge.
Day 6: Northern Puffins
In eastern Iceland, we’ll photograph adorable Atlantic puffins, one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences Iceland has to offer. We’ll also visit the stunning Stuðlagil Canyon, framed by impressive basalt columns.
Day 7: Goðafoss
In northern Iceland, we will visit the Mývatn Lake area with its pseudocraters, as well as Goðafoss, the “Waterfall of the Gods,” where, according to legend, statues of pagan gods were once cast into the water.
Day 8: Hvítserkur
As we travel west through northern Iceland, we will stop at Hvítserkur, the petrified troll who, according to legend, tried to destroy a nearby church but turned to stone at sunrise. We will also photograph seals on our way to the Westfjords.
Day 9: Dynjandi
We will photograph the charming Ósvör Maritime Museum and the magnificent Dynjandi Waterfall, which rises nearly 100 meters and consists of seven cascades, as we explore the dramatic landscapes of the Westfjords.
Day 10: Kirkjufell
We move to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, known for its diverse landscapes, seals, and one of Iceland’s most famous mountains—Kirkjufell, together with Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall.
Day 11: Búðakirkja
On the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, we’ll visit additional highlights such as the street art in Hellissandur, the ocean rock formation Gatklettur, and enjoy the surrounding nature—including photographing the iconic black church Búðakirkja.
Day 12: Reykjavík
We will explore Reykjavík, visiting landmarks such as the Harpa Concert Hall and the Hallgrímskirkja Church, inspired by Iceland’s volcanic landscapes.
Day 13: Departure to Prague
