You’ll have the chance to photograph the movement at the world’s busiest crosswalks as well as the serene beauty of tranquil gardens and bamboo groves that whisper stories of centuries past.

Day 1: Prague → Tokyo
Departure from Prague to Narita or Haneda International Airport in Tokyo.

Day 2: Tokyo
Arrival in Tokyo. Transfer by metro to accommodation. Free evening for rest and recovery.

Day 3: Tokyo – Landmarks and Urban Exploration

  • Kōkyo (Imperial Palace): Visit to the emperor’s residence.
  • Ginza: Tokyo’s famous luxury district.
  • Hamarikyu Gardens: A traditional Japanese garden oasis.
  • Shibuya Scramble Crossing: The world’s busiest intersection.
  • Kabukicho & Omoide Yokocho: Traditional food and vibrant nightlife.


Day 4: Tokyo – Culture and Modern Vibes

  • Tsukiji Market: A taste of traditional Japanese markets.
  • Sensō-ji Temple: Tokyo’s oldest and most iconic temple.
  • Kaminarimon Gate: The grand entrance to Sensō-ji.
  • Roppongi Sky Deck: 360° panoramic view of Tokyo.

Day 5: Tokyo → Kamakura → Tokyo

  • Hasedera Temple: Home to a gilded wooden statue of Kannon.
  • Great Buddha of Kamakura: The second-largest bronze Buddha in Japan.
  • Hokokuji Temple: Peaceful bamboo grove with a teahouse.


Day 6: Tokyo → Fuji

Day 7: Fuji – Photogenic Locations

  • Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba: Restored traditional craft village.
  • Oshino Hakkai: Eight spring-fed ponds from Mount Fuji.


Day 8: Fuji → Matsumoto

Day 9: Matsumoto → Narai-juku
Narai-juku: Well-preserved historic post town on the Nakasendō trail, ideal for atmospheric photography.

Day 10: Matsumoto → Snow Monkey Park → Kyoto

  • Jigokudani Monkey Park: Famous for bathing snow monkeys in natural hot springs.
  • Evening transfer to Kyoto.


Day 11: Kyoto – Temples and Gardens

  • Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion): Zen temple covered in gold leaf.
  • Enkō-ji Temple: Stunning autumn foliage and serene garden.
  • Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion): Zen temple with beautiful landscaping.


Day 12: Kyoto – Temple Trails

  • Fushimi Inari Taisha: Shinto shrine with thousands of red torii gates.
  • Kiyomizudera: Iconic temple with a panoramic view of Kyoto.


Day 13: Kyoto – Nature and Tradition

  • Arashiyama Bamboo Grove: Peaceful forest walk.
  • Geisha Photo Session: Private photo shoot with a real maiko (apprentice geisha).


Day 14: Kyoto → Nara

  • Nara Park: Ancient temples and friendly roaming deer.
  • Tōdai-ji Temple: The world’s largest wooden building with a massive Buddha statue.


Day 15: Kyoto → Hiroshima → Miyajima

  • Atomic Bomb Dome & Peace Memorial Park: A powerful historical visit.
  • Itsukushima Shrine: Famous torii gate rising from the sea on Miyajima Island.


Day 16: Kyoto → Osaka

  • Osaka Castle: Historic landmark surrounded by gardens.
  • Dotonbori: Lively district known for street food and neon lights.
  • Abeno Harukas: The tallest observation deck in Osaka.
  • Evening departure from Osaka.


Day 17: Arrival in Prague

Necessary equipment

  • Lenses of all focal lengths, including telephoto lenses (such as 70–200 mm, 70–300 mm)
  • Tripod and a mini tripod (like a Gorillapod) for locations where standard tripods are not allowed (a few Manfrotto tripods available for loan)
  • ND filters 64 to 1,000 and polarizing filter (VF Foto filters available for loan)
  • Headlamp
  • Spare batteries, battery charger
  • Cleaning tools for lenses and filters (blower, microfiber cloths, special wet wipes for optics)
  • High-quality three-season clothing, windproof and waterproof, suitable for temperatures from 0–20°C; we recommend layering, and warm
